• Mindfulness has its origin in ancient east Asian culture and is the practice of paying attention on purpose to what is happening in your body and within your environment. Mindfulness can help us be more present, less stressed and more in tune with our emotions. It has a strong evidence base within scientific research for supporting our mental health.

Includes Psychology offers the Mindfulness Now program. This is a combination of Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.

  • Sessions include meditations, guidance, breath-work and teaching to support you to develop skills in mindfulness and meditation.

No one person is the same, and therefore although there is a set 8-week teaching program, the sessions will be tailored to your needs.

The sessions are trauma sensitive and can be adapted for Neurodivergent and Disabled clients ensuring they are accessible to all.

  • Anyone can bring mindfulness into their lives and you can carry out most tasks mindfully. Mindfulness sessions can be particularly helpful if you are prone to worry, depression, overthinking, burnout and/or you are a person who faces lots of demands and barriers to your well-being. There is also strong evidence that mindfulness can support those with chronic illness and pain.

  • These days, children have more socially demanding lives than ever. Like adults, children also experience stress, burnout, illness and barriers beyond their control. We often see the resulting emotions in their behaviour.

Mindfulness can bring calm to children and young people who struggle to recognise their emotions and need ways to cope with daily life.

There are two Mindfulness Now interventions for children- Mindful Child a 12-week 1:1 intervention and Mindfulness Now a 4-week group intervention.

Meditation is practicing being with what ‘is’….
